5 star rating Absolutely loved Texas Star Winery! The tasting room was beautiful, the owners friendly as can be, and delicious unique wines! We went on a Sunday afternoon near closing hours and chatted with the sweet owners for a good while and felt no rush to leave. Awesome experience! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Chappell Hill area.

They are really friendly. To me that means a lot. I enjoy the way they make me fill. Nice and clean. That's a place we both will be glad to be returning to. Jeannie HALTIWANGER

Quaint winery with very friendly staff. Lots of interesting wines so this is a good place to do a tasting.

The chardonnay is not packed so it is crisp and clean for a good summer wine. The gewurstaminer was very good but not too sweet.

The dry red wines are very dry but are not at all astringent. The sangria is very fruity and sweet. The blueberry is a great dessert wine. The prickly pear is very interesting and not at all wild tasting.

Excellent selection in wine. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely visit again.

Q: What's more relaxing than a Sunday drive in the countryside? A: Stopping along the way for a glass or two of local Chapel Hill wine and bites. Nestled in the hills of beautiful Washington County, Texas Star Winery offers local wines and bite to eat (cheeses, crackers, etc.). The tasting room seats about 20 in groups of 2, 4 and more, and the owner explains each wine. Order samples or a bottle. It offers a relaxing break.

Great wine... great time

5 star rating Prickly Pear Wine! I am not a fan of sweet wines, but the fruit wines here not as sweet as you would think. The cranberry wine is actually a little tart. The Sunset red is very drinkable right now.

The little star though had to be the prickly pear wine which they mix with a margarita mix to make a winerita! The wine can stand on its own too!

If you are in the area one weekend be sure to stop there!

5 star rating This unique winery is definitely on me of my favorites. From the moment we walked into the tasting area we felt welcomed. Every wine they have is very unique. They had wines made from wild Texas grapes, cactus, hibiscus, plums and cranberries. The wines we all very drinkable and I loved them all! We will definitely return when we finish he bottled we bought!

We live close and are glad to have a great place nearby to spend an evening or weekend afternoon with a few glasses and a cheese plate. I love how another reviewer put it, that this is not the place to relive your wine tasting experiences of Northern California, it's something different - it's a tasting room with an industrial, laid-back, casual atmosphere serving thoughtful wines made from (mostly) Texas grapes. Love it all.

We are having my daughter's bridal shower on the porch with trees and breeze and a guitar. Very nice venue.

5 star rating This place was fantastic! As soon as we walked in we were treated like cousins that you haven't seen in a while. The tasting was so fun and I kid you not, every wine was delicious (maybe I'm biased because I feel like all wine is lovely). There was a coach bus that was shuttling a large group and we were totally unaffected by them.

5 star rating Great Visit on Easter Sunday We thought we were familiar with all the wineries featured in the Blue Bonnet Trail but this was our first visit to Texas Star Winery. Limited selection of dry wines but there is a lot of product aging in the barrel right now. We had a good experience with the Red and a Chardonnay. Easter featured an instrumental concert that was outstanding.

5 star rating I came here on a spontaneous road trip to taste more Texas wine. They completely met all the standards for Texas hospitality.
Cindy, ( I'm sorry if I spelt that wrong) came to our table to carry out the tasting with us and was genuinely interested in our thoughts the whole time. She was delightful. The rest of the staff were SO FRIENDLY and hospitable. I'm not one for Merlot, but theirs was bold and smooth and, most importantly, delicious.
Thank you for making the end of our "adventure" day so awesome! You guys rock!!

5 star rating Texas Star Winery is fabulous. The owners are the friendliest and most knowledgable of any winery ever! Experts. The wines are amazing and so unique you will have to come back for more. We served the Sunset Red, Starlight White & Cranberry wines at our wedding in the fall and they were such a hit! The grounds are beautiful and relaxing and if you make it on a live music day you're in for a treat, relaxing with tunes and an absolutely delicious bottle of wine. Recommend trying and coming back!!
